Exhibition "Veneradas y temidas" (Revered and feared) at CaixaForum

From the 8th of May to the 31th of August 2025, CaixaForum will host an exhibition that highlights the many facets of female power. 

A true journey through 5,000 years of history, exploring how goddesses, spirits, demons and saints have influenced and continue to influence culture, beliefs and daily life. 

From the Hindu deity Shakti to Oshun, the orisha of fertility in Nigeria's Yoruba culture, the exhibition presents an impressive selection of 154 pieces from the British Museum, including sculptures, sacred objects and art from the ancient world to the present day. 

The topics covered will be myriad, ranging from wisdom and passion to war and justice, but always with a focus on femininity.

• 4 June at 6:30 pm – “What’s going on? Artists revered and feared today” conference  

• 11 June at 5:30 pm and at 7 pm – “More than a visit...” recital with Eugenia Tenenbaum  

• 20 June at 6:30 pm - Live podcast talk show from Punzadas Sonoras  

• 20th June at 7:30 pm and 9 pm – “Bedroom Secrets: A Performance with Miss Beige” show
