The recognition is awarded to the two urban beaches and five from the Albufera Natural Park.
Valencia's beaches once again fly the 7 Blue Flags this summer, certifying their excellence in quality, safety, sustainability, and services. Despite the effects of the last DANA that affected part of the Valencian coast in the autumn, the cleaning and recovery efforts have been effective, and the beaches are fully prepared to welcome both locals and tourists.
The awards, granted by the Association for Environmental Education and Consumer Protection (ADEAC), recognize both the environmental conditions and the sustainable management of coastal areas. In Valencia, they have been awarded to the two urban beaches, Cabanyal and Malva-rosa, as well as five others located to the south: El Saler, Devesa, Garrofera, Recatí-Perellonet, and l'Arbre del Gos.
These beaches combine proximity and accessibility with unique landscapes, some of which are located within the Albufera Natural Park, such as El Saler and Devesa. In addition to having full services, lifeguard stations, showers, and adapted access points, many of them offer ideal spaces for walking, exercising, observing nature, or simply enjoying the Mediterranean with complete tranquility.
The attainment and maintenance of these awards demonstrate the city's commitment to its coastline and guarantee visitors to Valencia clean, safe beaches ready for enjoyment. The summer begins with the best possible scenario: award-winning beaches, well-preserved natural surroundings, and a Mediterranean that invites relaxation.
